According to Census Report 2016, the suburb has an older median average age of 42. Most residents are either Australian, English or Irish with most still preferring to travel to the city by car.

Lifestyle

Williamstown is always known for its beach front lifestyle, but there is much more here. There are some fine dining, classic seafood cuisine, lively bars and excellent open spaces. Ferguson Street is the heart of the community.

There is a mix of residential homes, most being older standalone dwellings. There has been some new subdivisions and townhouse development and a smaller amount of Apartment living offering river/city views.
