People

According to Census 2016, there were an even mix of male and female. The average median age was 42 years old, however over 20% of the population were under 14 years old. It is a tight family community.

Lifestyle

It is most known for is country style vibe, but don't underestimate how well it is connected to both the Melbourne metropolitan and the CBD. There are great amenities from scouts, cycling tracks and ports but you have some very nice boutique shops and cafes too.

Homes

The suburb has many older styled brick veneered and weatherboard homes. Most homes are set on generous landscape and allotments. There have been some subdivisions and renovations taken place in recent years, but there is less housing activity compared to its neighbouring suburbs.

Viewbank Primary School was established in 1966. The government co-educational facility is a long serving school that has been teaching students from prep foundation through to grade six.

Viewbank College

Viewbank College is an public secondary school established in 1994. It currently has about 1,400 enrolled students. The school teaches grades seven through to twelve.

Viewbank Preschool

Viewbank Preschool prides itself on a wonderful outdoor learning environment. The facility cares and teaches for young children in their prior years before the commence primary school.
