In the 2016 Census, there were 5,895 people in Moorabbin. Of these 49.2% were male and 50.8% were female. The median age of people was 39 years old.

Lifestyle

An established suburb for its amenities and sporting facilities. There are so many activities available while it is well known for DFO has over 130 stores. Residents are also fortunate to have Southland Shopping Centre not too far away.

Homes

Moorabbin has many older styled brick veneered and weatherboard homes. There have been some new subdivisions and renovations, but its likely we will see more new dwelling in the foreseeable future.

Moorabbin Primary School

Moorabbin Primary School dates back to 1875, making it one of the oldest schools in the district. As a government school we have maintained high standards over a very long period.

Southmoor Primary School

Southmoor Primary School was first established in 1963. The school teaches children from prep foundation through to grade six.

St Catherine’s Primary School

St Catherine's School opened in 1957 and was administered by the Sisters of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart. St Catherine's is one of three primary schools in the Parish of Holy Trinity.
