Mildura is a large township with more than 30,000 people. There are many families, farmers and working class people in the area. According to the Census Report 2016, the average median age was 39 years old.
A suburb popular among locals. With wineries, restaurants, farms and an established central business district, there isn't too much missing in the life of Mildura. It is widely known for its citrus farming, but its also tourist destination for many.
There are many large blocks of land, with many new land estates being introduced over recent years. The suburb predominantly has standalone houses with a mix of brick veneered and weatherboard styled homes. It is anticipated that more new housing opportunities will occur in the future.
With a large population, the suburb has many established schools to choose from.
Mildura Primary School is one of four large primary schools in the Mildura Rural City Council local government area. The school is a co-educational facility with a current student enrolment of about 340. It teaches from pre foundation through to grade six.
Trinity Lutheran College commenced back in 1982. Trinity Lutheran College is one of 86 schools of the Lutheran Church of Australia. The school is a co-educational facility with a current student enrolment of about 500. It teaches from pre foundation through to grade six and then on to years seven to ten.
Mildura Christian College is an independent co-educational school established in 1981 as a ministry of the Mildura Baptist Church. It has approximately 87 students from prep foundation through to year ten. The College is situated in a semi-rural area just outside the township of Irymple.
