Preston is a busy neighbourhood with lots of hustle and bustle. This very established and connected suburb that is know to be a vibrant and multicultural suburb. Here is a list of things to do, but in no particular order:
Preston Market
Built back in 1969, the Preston Market has become one of the icons of the suburb. Located in the heart of Preston and adjacent to the train station, the market welcomes hundreds of thousands of people each year. The fresh fish, meats and poultry among the most popular, but the specialty stores are also loved among the locals.
High Street
If you are looking to shop, eat and browse the stores of Melbourne, High Street in Preston is the backbone of the suburb. Filled with cafes, restaurants, supermarkets and retail outlets, you’ll have no problem finding what you are looking for,
Northland Shopping Centre
Northland Shopping Centre would be the largest single-storey shopping precinct in Melbourne with over 330 speciality stores. The building only has second level for it’s Hoyts cinemas, Pancake Parlour and indoor golf venue.

During the warmer season, The Keys beer gardens out front are so popular that you won’t find a seat if you don’t get there early enough. It’s often very busy in the evenings, so you’ll need to plan ahead!

If you have a sweet tooth, this is the place for you. Augustus Gelatery offers a huge range of ice-creams and sorbets. Test some flavours before you buy, but be careful, you may want to buy more than you can chew!
