Top things to do in Reservoir

Reservoir is an established suburb located 11 kms from the Melbourne CBD (city). The suburb has seen a significant gentrification shift over the last decade which has in turn brought many new amenities to the area.

Here is a list of things to do, but in no particular order:

Summerhill Shopping Centre

Summerhill Shopping Centre features 26 shops, which include Coles, ALDI, Kmart, Liquorland, various cafés and restaurants. The centre holds many community events throughout the year and is a place where you can access your daily errands, but also enjoy a nice meal with family and friends.

Reservoir Village

Located at the heart of Reservoir the centre offers over 90 businesses/shops. There are a wide variety of cafes, restaurants, fashion boutiques, discount stores and professional services. A really popular venue that really caters for families with children. Weekends can be particularly busy, but there are so many places to check out.

Marco Fine Foods & Groceries

Marco Fine Foods & Groceries is the anchor of Reservoir Central. There’s a butcher, a cafe, bakery and fruit and vegetable sections. It also sells fresh flowers and plants, specialised groceries and a delicatessen. This places is very big and you’ll find some many different foods from all around the world.

J C Donath Reserve

The reserve features tennis courts, a large skateboard ramp, an outdoor public gymnasium, sports oval and a very nice playground for the kids. The playground is a real crowd favourite. It’s a large structure with nets, ladders, tunnels, shops, swings and so much more. The wave slide is also a lot of fun! One really great benefit for families, dogs and cats are permitted off leads.

Edwardes Lake Park

Edwardes Lake Park is a 26 hectare district park and provides the setting for the 6.3 hectare Edwardes Lake. The lake actually forms part of the famous Yarra River. In fact the lakes is known as the second largest urban lake in greater Melbourne metropolitan. The lake is beautifully landscaped with a walking track where you’ll find many people using it throughout the near.

Edwardes Lake Park also has two outdoor public playgrounds and a skate park. The playground has an old train engine, public toilets, barbecue and picnic facilities. There is also an athletics track which is home to several athletics clubs.

Reservoir Leisure Centre

The Reservoir Leisure Centre is quality aquatic facility. Members of the venue are offered access to a great gymnasium, Rezfit functional training classes, Yoga, Pilates and even Zumba. The centre also includes an indoor swimming pool, a toddler pool with a beach entry, hydrotherapy pool, sauna, spa and steam room.

The cafe is also quite nice with a boutique menu of meals, snakes and beverages. You can spend your whole day here! It feels like a world within a world!

Archery Attack Melbourne

This is an undoubtable fun place to be. Imaging loads of inflatable bunkers offering a space to fit up to 40 players. The venue is great for work functions, bucks/hens nights, kids parties or end of year Christmas get togethers. It has a great seating area to watch the action in the arena or in the range.

The function area has a BBQ, large seating are to eat after the games and an arcade full of fun 8-bit games.
