Activities during lockdown. If you’ve been struggling to entertain themselves, here are some fun tips.
1. Virtual social events
You won’t believe how many social events are available online! You can play trivia pursuit with family or friends, murder mystery games, book clubs and so much more. You can do yoga classes, cocktail nights and even board games.
2. Do an online course
If you have some extra time, look at getting your skills and education up! There are many self-study courses where you can enrol in both tertiary or university courses. Look at upgrading your skills or consider a career change.
3. Enjoy some online streaming apps
There are so many apps to enjoy. From Netflix, Stan and Prime Amazon you have so much great content to watch. You can see so many great series and movies, you can even catch up on some good time oldies! It’s a great time to enjoy the Harry Potter series, there’s no time like the present!
4. Learn a language
It’s not often to meet someone who wouldn’t love to speak another language. You can do some great sessions with tutors online, virtual online courses and much more. Pick up an audio book and get going!
5. Online gaming
There are so many advanced games for all ages. Games such as Roblox for kids under 12 or Fortnite for the kids above 16. Even the adults can easily get entertained. Be careful, some of these games can be so much fun, you’ll soon get addicted. Try not to deprive your sleep too long!
For others looking at a relaxing or thoughtful game, you can also enjoy sudoku or crosswords.
6. Enjoy a good read
There are so many good book clubs and so many genres and themes to read. You can easily download stories, biographies and recipe books online. Using a kindle is a nice way to read. Its lighter on your eyes and quite light to hold too.
7. Enjoy some cooking
If you like to get creative, what better place to do that but in the kitchen. If you like to create new dishes, what great activity to do with your family and/or children.
