Top things to do in Epping

Epping is an established suburb with over 33,000 people. It has fast evolved into a thriving location and has supported many lifestyles in the northern suburbs of Melbourne.

Here is a list of things to do, but in no particular order:

Pacific Epping

Pacific Epping features over 230 stores with some of the largest retailers in Australia. It is known to be in the top ten largest shopping centres in Victoria. Not only are you spoilt with retail, it also has a beautiful cinema and eleven restaurants catering for a range of cuisines. You will never fall short on amenities.

Epping Recreation Reserve

The Epping Recreational Reserve is scattered an impressive 9.3 hectares. This open public space is jam packed with entertainment. Families can enjoy the outdoor playgrounds and barbeque areas. Sport enthusiasts can play football and cricket with the two ovals, basketballers have two multi-purpose courts, a soccer field and six tennis courts.

This is a real weekend destination hub. You will see sports played all week, especially on weekend match days.

Edgars Creek Trail

Edgars Creek Trail is beautifully designed for walking, running or cycling. It is a 17 km route and has multiple scenic spots to sit and rest. It runs from Epping through to Wollert. It’s nice to know Epping is only 18kms from the Melbourne CBD, but experiences like the Edgards Creek Trail can really make you feel as though you are far away.

YMCA Leisure City

Situated in the heart of Epping is filled with kids activities and fun! It features a gymnastics hall, swimming pool, beach volleyball court, indoor tennis courts and a multi-sport stadium for netball, basketball, cricket, and even soccer. Members can also gain access to the 24 hour gymnasium filled with lots of cardio equipment and weights for heavy lifting.

Its also got a dedicated women’s only gym, an indoor children’s play area and on-site creche.

Epping Wholesale F & V Market

Epping Wholesale F & V Market is Victoria’s wholesale hub for produce (fruit and vegetables). Supermarkets, health food centres, fruit/veggie stores and other retails arrive here each and everyday at all hours of the morning to stock up their stores.

It is a massive 12,500 square metre of fruit and vegetable trading with the ability of holding up to 330 stands. The venue also has a flower market with up to 140 stands supplying fresh flowers to over 700 floristries.

Oz Shooting

Looking for something different? Wanting to enjoy a bucks/hens event, birthday party or get into clay shooting completion, this place has you covered. This is an unique experience that you may not want to miss!

VR Extreme

VR Extreme is an incredible virtual reality entertainment centre. Offering more than twenty different type of gaming experiences, there is an abundance of fun on offer. There are different themes, different challenges and can suit different age groups. This has become widely popular for end of year work functions, birthday parties and much more.

Oz Tenpin Epping

Who doesn’t enjoy put on their fancy bowling shoes? Oz Tenpin Epping offers 26 lanes of tenpin bowling, including an 8 lane private corporate area. How amazing is that? Another great venue for that special occasion.

There’s a great selection of redemption arcade games if you still have those competitive juices flowing after bowling those strikes!
