Ryan Wu is one of Crest Property Investments consultants who has assisted many buyers in purchasing off the plan. With a sound background in accounting, Ryan finds great passion in souring properties that not only make money for people, but can also be tax effective for investors.

We took the opportunity to pull him aside and ask some personal questions about his work life and what drives him to succeed.

Q. How productive are you working from home?

I find I am productive no matter where I work. If it’s in an office environment, display suite or at home, I am pretty self motivated and focussed. I often lose track of the time and need to remind myself, its home time! I also help many clients overseas, so I’ve often worked from home.

Q. What are the main things that help you succeed?

The team at Crest Property Investments are not only work colleagues, but friends. Having unique friendships with a team you speak with each day has really added to my success. As the property market changes you always need to change with it. It really adds more substance to our research, which I thoroughly enjoy.

Q. What helps you provide good property solutions?

First and for most, we won’t recommend a property solution to someone, if we wouldn’t accept it for ourselves. Our research is very thorough and advanced. For investors we based the decision on more fundamentals while lifestyle needs is a greater emphasis when working with owner occupiers. When providing solutions, we are very client centric so we really devote time learning what our client’s requirements are, the risk tolerance and time frame.

Q. Have you faced any problems along the way?

I wish I could say no, but this is not possible. We haven’t had issues with our property solutions, but some client’s had faced marital breakdowns or financial losses which has made settlements difficult. I am proud to say, we have never had a client not settle nor have we had some one disappointed afterwards. We had had many positive outcomes and that’s what drives me to wake up and start the next solution. When faced with problems, you must learn from it. We really qualify our clients, introduce them to mortgage brokers and solicitor’s in advance to ensure they are in the best position to proceed.

Q. What advice can you offer other aspiring property consultants?

If you enjoy your job, feel passionate about it, you will succeed. It’s not always easy times, but if you stick to it, remain true to yourself and your service offering, you will reach your goals.
