Top things to do in Werribee

Werribee is one of the larger populated areas in metropolitan Melbourne. Filled with many amenities, its well suited to families of all ages.

Lancemore Mansion Hotel

Victoria State Rose Garden

Located in Werribee South and spread over six acres, the Victoria State Rose Garden is home to over 5,000 roses on display. It hosts a magnificent sight between April to November when the roses are in bloom. A huge tourist destination but also well-loved by locals.

Shadowfax Winery

If you are looking for a romantic time with a loved one or want to share some time with friends, this is the place for you. Established in 1999, Shadowfax has been producing premium quality wines from its high-altitude Little Hampton vineyard. The winery also offers a large selection of cheese and woodfire pizza to pair with the wine of your choice.

K Road Red Cliffs

The K Road Red Cliffs provide a magnificent array of red with its red dirt wall. It becomes even more breathtaking during dusk and sunset.

There is a footpath leading all the way to the top of the cliff. You can witness a magnificent view of the Werribee River from the top of the cliff. You can also overlook the Werribee golf course and parks. The wetlands in the middle of the Werribee River provide a habitat for water birds. It’s a great opportunity to bring your binoculars and/or cameras to capture the beautiful wildlife.

Werribee Park Golf Club

The Werribee Park Golf Club offers a challenging 18 hole course with the added benefit of taking in the breath-taking views of the Werribee River and the Red Cliffs. A lovely place to meet like-minded people, this is a wonderful place to take your golfing experience to a whole new level.

Werribee Open Range Zoo

A unique experience that allows you to get closer to wildlife like no other. Get onboard a guided safari across the open range savannah where you’ll get up close and personal to rhinoceroses, giraffes and zebras.

The walking trails really make you feel as though you are in the savannah. You can get close to the action and see a pride of lions, gorillas, monkeys or a family of hippopotamuses. The venue even offers you personal experiences where you can feed the giraffes or stroke a serval. It is an ideal venue for all the family to enjoy!
