Most liveable cities in the world. The latest survey conducted by the Economist Intelligent Unit shows us a new most liveable city. With the combination of both Australia and New Zealand, the two nations take six of the top ten placings. In the wake of the global pandemic, covid-19 has shuffled things up, with many countries no longer representing the top ten. With tighter border controls to other countries and continents this has helped many of the top ten cities live normal lives.
This year Auckland tops the list – a place held by Melbourne for 7 years in a row until it lost its title to Vienna in 2018 and was in second place last time the list was compiled in 2019.
In 2021, we find Adelaide representing the most liveable city in Australia. The major city of South Australia has had a seamless uninterrupted lifestyle from the global pandemic. Adelaide was ranked top three after Osaka, Japan taking second place.
Australia heavily filled up the list, with Sydney also coming in at eleventh (11th).
