Top things to do in St Kilda

Luna Park

Luna Park is a historic amusement park that is also heritage listed. Established in 1912, the minute you step through the famous Mr Moon mouth you’ll immediately soak up the carnival atmosphere and rides. Lunar Park has the oldest wooden roller coaster in the world. It’s certainly not the fastest ride in the world, but its a sublime experience worth taking the time for.

Ackland Street Village

The street represents the heart of St Kilda. Capture the culture, vibes and entertainment, especially in the evening. There is an array of cafes and restaurants including 95 Espresso, Amigos, Coco Kebabs, Donovan’s and Fat Jack to name a few.

Carlisle Street

Carlisle Street is a bustling area within the suburb. It has lots of foot traffic, with people enjoying the various cake shops, patisseries, cafes and restaurants including Galleon Cafe, Juana Taco and Barzar to name a few.

St Kilda Beach

The St Kilda beach would be the most famous beachfront in Melbourne. Summer isn’t summer without taking a day out to this beach. Its about 700m long and it can get quite packed with people on hot days. There are plenty of restaurants, bars, ice-cream shops to keep you feeling cool on a hot day out. Many people hang out making sculpture art work, walking along the iconic pier, busking and getting a tan.

St Kilda Festival

The St Kilda Festival is a free annual celebration of Australian music, summer, and all things fun. You will see rides, food trucks, and a wide range of bars and beer gardens open. It attracts hundreds of thousands of people.

Prince Public Bar

The suburb features lots of night life. The Prince Hotel has been a proud mainstay of St Kilda’s landscape since the mid 1800s. Today this place is such a nice venue to grab a bite to eat, grab some refreshments and have a laugh with family and friends. The environment is very chilled and friendly.

St Kilda Adventure Playground

The Adventure playground is one of only five staffed adventure playgrounds in Melbourne. It is filled with so much play equipment, obstacles to play with, good luck trying to pull your children out of here. It is a true haven for kids. As adults, it really makes you want to go back in time as a kid again!

There is no bar in Melbourne like the Espy. With live music and great meals on hand, you are in for an awesome night. They have so many gigs, this is Melbourne’s home of live music.

St Kilda Esplanade Market

A very well known market occupied by over 140 stores. There is a huge diverse range of things to buy and see. Not only is the market filled with arts and crafts, you’ll have the beachside in the background. How good is that!

St Kilda Sea Baths

The Sea Baths are an intrinsic part of Melbourne’s culture and is a unique place to experience. This oceanside locale features an indoor salt-water pool, plus a day spa, kiteboard shop & restaurants.
