Spring is here! It’s a beautiful time of year. The birds are singing, the trees are showing off their shapes and sizes, the flowers are blossoming and people are spending more time outdoors.

Here is a list of fruits and vegetables to plant in Spring

Cucumbers

Cucumbers are so refreshing in summer. If you want a handy supply of cucumbers, you need to start planting them as soon as the cool weather backs off. Cucumbers needs lots of sunlight and fertile soil. Try finding a sunny area around your home and watch the flourish!

Beetroots

Beetroot is another nice great ingredient for salads, sandwiches and even burgers! (if you want to try it out)

Get them planted as soon as winter passes. They grow well while the ground is cold. It is a great plant to grow at home because they don’t require much space and can also grow in pots. Don’t forget to water them often.

 

Tomatoes

Tomatoes  love sunshine. Spring is all about sunshine! Put them in rich soil and you will soon see them grow. They are a really fun plant to look after. The children really enjoy caring for them. They are a rewarding plant as they grow quickly. Just fast enough while you still have the children’s attention! Planting them late Spring is the best time too.

Capsicum

Capsicums can be more difficult to grow. They like warm weather, so be mindful if you live in a colder environment. You can start growing them inside and transplant them outside after 8 to 10 weeks.

 

Broccoli

Broccoli, one of the healthiest vegetables on the planet. These beautiful plants are flexible to grow. They can also survive colder climates. You can start to fertilize three weeks after planting.

Garlic

Count Dracula will stay away if you can succeed in growing this little beauty. Garlic is high on the health ratings. Who doesn’t like garlic, right? For anyone who doesn’t have allergies, these are very easy to grow. It also is has a secret benefit of acting as a natural insect repellent. It’s normally planted in winter, but early spring will still serve you well.

Raspberries

Raspberries are jam-packed with antioxidant. They are great with smoothies, fruit salads and even breakfast. Planting them early spring will see good results. Be mindful, path pests may smell them out, so look after them regularly are give them plenty of water.
